Position Summary:

Responsible for assigning pick locations for any item that is to be part of the regular, seasonal and promotional item assortment (planogram). Monitor production activity for these items on a regular basis, making any adjustments necessary to the planogram for facilitate peak efficiency in picking and chasing.

General Purpose: To slot items for picking in proper area.

Required Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS (COMPETENCIES):

* Education: None required

* Experience: None required

* Skills:

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Ability to read, write and count accurately.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

* Ability to operate CRT equipment and calculator.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

* Review the new items reports daily to identify items to be slotted.

* Review each day's receipts and the new items staging area throughout the day for any new items to be assigned locations (slotted).

* Allocate a home and pick location for each regular new item by attaching item tickets to the home location rack.

* Cut cartons, determine the proper (MPSQ) maximum pick slot quantity, and then fill the assigned location with the new item.

* Keypunch the new or replonographed locations into the Item File Maintenance screen in CICS.

* Verify and update case cube information (includes height, length, width and weight) in CICS.

* Remove discontinued merchandise for all of its Pick and Backup locations and remove all item tickets. Notify Return Goods personnel or Supervisor when completed.

* Verify case pack of new items.

* Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT :

* Physical demands:

o Frequently lift 20 to 45 pounds.

o Occasionally lift greater than 45 to 75 pounds.

o Occasional bending, reaching and stooping.

o Frequent walking, standing and pulling.
