We have a opening for a On-Call Fitness Instructor.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or related area, nationally accepted certifications, and six months of personal training experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Personal Trainer certificate accepted from NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ACE, AFAA, COOPER, or ISSA. Current CPR and First Aid Certification also required for this position.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Review risk management and emergency procedures established for the resort.
  • Participate in customer service training
  • Represent the resort Fitness program on an as-needed basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Recreation
  • Must be skilled in the safe and proper use of machine weights, free weights and cardiovascular equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential, as is an energetic, enthusiastic and motivational attitude.
  • Must have excellent physical fitness, a professional manner and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and promotional skills also necessary.
  • Must be dependable and have a good work ethic.
  • Be able to work in a hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
  • Must also be able to demonstrate or verbally explain proper equipment usage.
  • The Personal Training position requires bending, twisting, pulling, reaching, stretching, and straining, kneeling, grasping, gripping, and frequent lifting of up to fifty pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
