Position Summary:
The purpose of this job is to perform cable construction and maintenance of a new extension, or rebuilt local cable television system and to insure contractors perform work to TWC specification, and on time.
Essential Job Functions: Oversee contractors during the construction phase of commercial and residential builds.Verify that all TWC specs and safety codes are being properly followed by contractors and subs.Issue construction work to contractors and follow the build thru completion.Push completed jobs thru Salesforce and DOCK, provide correct asbuilts for the release to IS.Represent and interact with TWC customers.Performs other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).Individuals must have a valid driver's license as well as a good driving record.Must be able to meet and maintain safe load limits for provided equipment, in accordance with TWC WeightIndividuals should have three years of construction or cable experience.Satisfactory completion of the TWC/CIE Tech I course, NCTI Service Technician, Installer Tech course, or equivalent electronic/electrical experience is required.This position requires good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and follow instructions.Good communication skills are required.Some computer skills are necessary. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Programs preferredMust be able to maintain business and personnel information in a confidential and professional mannerMust be able to use a VOM, TDR, Field Strength Meter, and Locator.
Physical Requirements: This position involves both field and office work. Must be able to work in various weather conditions, which could be extreme hot or cold conditions.Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Position will also involve sitting, standing, stooping, and/or crawling.Ability to operate test equipment, hand tools, power tools. Such as Ohm meter, TDR, signal level meter, cable locator, screwdrivers, pliers, ladders, and two-way radio. May also operate aerial bucket trucks, air compressor and/or hydraulic winch.Required to drive company vehicle and may drive for long periods of time.Position has extensive contact with construction and technical personnel, including contractors, customers and general public.
