Roxbury Treatment Center is a private 112-bed sub-acute detoxification/rehabilitation and psychiatric center located at the foothills of the scenic Blue Mountains. Staffed with mental health techs and nurses around the clock, our Chief Medical Officer and psychiatrists oversee this cutting edge psychiatric treatment program.

Job Summary :
The Mental Health Tech provides direct patient care under the supervision of the MHT Supervisor or registered nurse. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and activities of daily living.
Education And Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Psychology or other related field, Licensed nurse/CNA with a minimum of one year experience in a behavioral healthcare environment or equivalent experience preferred High school diploma with 3 years of behavioral health experience and/or successful completion of three years in a full-time psychology (or other related field) degree program or Associate degree with 1 year of behavioral healthcare experience.
Environmental Conditions:
Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste. General hospital environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical agility to manage patients. Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.
