The Consumer & Retail Corporate Banking group is a strong team of seasoned professionals that cover the world's largest Food, Beverage, Consumer Products, Retail and Restaurant companies. The team includes six experienced Managing Directors that will work closely with the Corporate Banking Associate to provide a wide range of exciting client management experiences .
Primary Associate responsibilities include:
As active team members focused on the Consumer & Retail industry, Corporate Banking Associates assist coverage bankers in the delivery of the full breadth of products and services to clients and prospects. Associates are called on to:
Support various financial analyses, develop financial models and including capital structure analysis
Perform comprehensive and in-depth company, industry research and peer benchmarking, developing industry specific expertise
Prepare and drive content of presentation materials for clients, including pitch book, lender and investor presentations and information memorandums
Prepare various committee memorandum, including acquisition financing and normal course capital approval
Participate in client planning sessions and monthly product partner meetings
Participate in client meetings
Demonstrate the ability to coordinate and build global relationships
Communicate and interact with both core and extended client team members from across the enterprise, as well as with internal partners and product areas
Manage several projects at once and work effectively as a supervisor, as an individual and as part of a team
Participate in the recruitment, development and training of junior resources
Enterprise Description
Assigned as permanent hires to Capital Markets. Actively participates on specific client and deal teams. Initially, activities are focused on financial and statistical analysis, development of client presentation, and structuring and execution activities. As they develop their client relationship skills, start to assume business development or product advisory and specialist responsibilities. Within some businesses, may involve initial rotation through a number of product areas before permanent assignment. Generally, these are individuals who received MBAs in 2014, or are high performing analysts who have completed the analyst program and were promoted into this position at its conclusion.
Required Skills:
Banking experience in Associate or Analyst role
A track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities
Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus
Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communications skills
Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focus
Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
Dedication to building a career in the corporate banking industry
Preferred Skills:
MBA degree with outstanding academic qualifications or Corporate Banking analyst experience
