Summary:

The Certified Trainer is responsible for training and coaching hourly production and service staff; completing regular duties as required while role modeling job skills and performance standards; and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by Management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the General Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Provides instruction to trainees in core skills, job skills, and/or daily job tasks
• Monitors and assesses associates' practice of new skills, and provides coaching and feedback
• Prepares the facility for training i.e. work station, job aids, and assignments
• Ensures a safe working environment throughout the department for all associates, enforces safety guidelines, develops awareness about safety, and maintains the company's standards and those of regulatory agencies
• Provides feedback to trainee's supervisor on progress made

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; ServSafe Certification preferred
• Requires 6 months to 1 years related experience; experience working in a high volume and deadline-driven environment preferred
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Requires basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions
