Meter Reader II

We have a opening for a Meter Reader II.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Manpower is currently hiring for a dynamic Meter Reader II for one of our top clients located in Zelienople, Pennsylvania!

Main Responsibilities:

• Duties will include driving and walking to meter locations on customer premises and accurately reading meters, including visually checking for and reporting service diversion and metering irregularities
• Completing assigned meter reading routes within allotted time period and departmental accuracy standards
• Delivering company notices and interacting with and responding to customers inquiries in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Reporting defective company equipment and hazardous conditions which may impair service or create safety concerns
• Performing duties in alignment with storm restoration efforts
• Attending safety meetings and training as required to ensure that work is performed without accidents or injuries

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Two to four years experience in the field or in a related area
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Having access to an all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicle, as needed, to complete work in all types of weather
• Amenable to walk at a reasonable pace for extended time periods in all types of weather over a variety of terrain
• Amenable to climb stairs, hills and go around obstructions; stoop, stretch, kneel, sit and lean to read meters in cramped and unusual locations and repeatedly enter and exit a vehicle
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Details:

• Location: Zelienople, Pennsylvania 16063
• Length of Contract: Seven months
• Working Hours: Summer 7:00 am - 3:30 pm *1/2 hr unpaid lunch* / Winter 7:30 - 4:00 pm *1/2 hr unpaid lunch*
• Amenable to work overtime or storm duty as needed
