Health Unit Coordinator - Full-time / Part-time

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Health Unit Coordinator.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

HEALTH UNIT COORDINATOR A local hospital has a temporary 3 month position available for a Health Unit Coordinator. The working hours are part time, 24 hours per week rotating between the evening and night shifts and working every other weekend. $12.13 per hour. You will be responsible for assisting with clerical patient care-related duties, communicating with caregivers regarding patient status and maintaining documentation related to patient medical records. Registers patients and/or their representatives and completes associated paperwork. Greets incoming patients in a prompt and courteous manner and assists with their immediate needs. Gathers and/or verifies complete and accurate demographic and insurance information and enters that information into the computer. Obtains required signatures according to departmental policies and procedures. Processes and distributes registration paperwork according to departmental policies and procedures.
