**MUST HAVE A YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN AN ADMINISTRATIVE TYPE ROLE**

The Client is looking to add to their Service & Operations Department.

The purpose of this position is to retrieve and view scanned images from the system, identify the type of document and whether it is appropriate for keying and if not, will reject document for proper handling by the claims analyst or clerical unit.
* Identification and input of medical bills and other claim documents.
* Determination of appropriate routing for scanned/keyed documents.
* Update and catalog provider contract, network and billing information.
* Screen claims for completeness and required documentation.
* Monitor inventory aging reports to insure claims are processed within time requirements.
* Verify claimant eligibility.
* Review and prepare incoming hard copy documents and process or route for appropriate persons for additional handling.
* Apply appropriate Plan benefit selection based on claim type and review of established guidelines and documentation requirements.
* Determine if additional information or documentation may be necessary to finalize claim and request as needed from participants, members, providers, other insurance companies or employers.
* Utilize claim adjudication system to update claim history and route claim to other appropriate personnel or complete processing.
