Position Description 50% ∙ Provide technical leadership around Site management ∙ Assess, recommend, build and integrate with best-of-breed, off-the-shelf commercial and open-source software components ∙ To meet business needs, review and recommend technologies from both global software providers, open source as well as in-country specialized products, for inclusion into the platform ∙ Recommend engineering best practices, including use of design patterns, code reviews and automated unit testing 50% ∙ Work with key members of the management team to define and drive technical strategy and architectural direction for the eCommerce platform ∙ Drive the design methodology of the software development process and ensure adoption within Walmart technology partners ∙ Assess feasibility and ramifications of new business requirements. Design appropriate solutions and recommend alternative approaches when necessary
