Radiology Technologist, Full-Time Evening Shift
The Radiology Technologist conducts radiologic procedures to provide data to assist in the diagnosis of patients. The position's tasks and responsibilities include:
Completes Radiology examinations ensuring a high level of quality.
Performs procedures/exams of patients ensuring high quality patient care.
Interviews patients and reviews charts/orders to obtain complete history and evaluates labs before contrast injection.
Evaluates patient for contra indicators.
Knowledge of Sterile technique/supplies needed for procedures
Assists radiologists as necessary.
Scans patients with appropriate equipment and does correct ordered exam.
Participates in PI plan.
Capable of transporting patients to and from the department.
Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages served.
Capable of starting IV's, ensuring IV patience with appropriate gauge for injection rate
Promotes teamwork within the department and within the hospital.
Can operate Meditech/TelaRadiology/CD Burner/GE workstation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
2 years post-graduate related experience preferred
Current registration with ARRT certification in Radiology
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider
