About this job
The Certified OR Technician cares for patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization . Our Surgery Department features 9 suites, 2 Endo rooms, 1 laparoscopy room, and a 12-bed PACU. Our services include but are not limited to ortho, spine, electives, complex upper GI, cardiovascular, general, vascular, urology procedures.
Fawcett Memorial Hospital is a 237-bed, full-service acute care hospital serving Charlotte County and the surrounding areas since 1975. Clinical specialties include 24-hour emergency care center, a comprehensive ACoS CoC accredited cancer program, Joint Commission accredited Stroke Center of Excellence, accredited Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Spine and Orthopedic Center with accredited Pain Management program, Wound Management and Hyperbaric Medicine, Bariatric Services, inpatient and outpatient surgery, minimally invasive surgery, CARF accredited inpatient rehabilitation, Fawcett Sports & Rehabilitation and many outpatient programs. Fawcett also provides a variety of community wellness programs as part of its ongoing commitment to community outreach and education.

Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Current CST (Certified Surgical Tech) from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP). or TS-C (Tech in Surgery-Certified) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
