3M is seeking a Machine Operator for the Personal Safety Division located in Indianapolis, IN. Ready to be part of what's next?

Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Machine Operator performs a variety of automated packaging machine operations and related duties to produce a finished product.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Complies with all Safety requirements

- Maintains organization and cleanliness of the work area and facility

- Follows and complies with written and verbal instructions

- Operates high speed assembly and packaging equipment in a physically demanding environment

- Manually able to lift up to 50 pounds and 15 pounds above the shoulder

- Performs bending, twisting, reaching, climbing stairs, squatting throughout shift

- Recognizes numerous process and product defects and performs recovery tasks

- Uses various manual and powered material handling equipment

- Uses test and measuring equipment

- Works with chemicals that are subject to special handling requirements. Hazardous & non-hazardous, both liquid and solid forms

- Performs accurate record keeping functions

- Converts raw materials into a finished good product that exceeds our Customer's expectations

This position will require:

- Working overtime

- Weekend work

- Working 12 hour night shifts

Basic Qualifications:

- Possess High School Diploma or GED

- Minimum 1 year of experience in operating high speed packaging machinery or CNC machines

Preferred Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 year of experience working with computer controlled machine interface systems

Location: Indianapolis, IN
