Position Description:

The Security Services arm of UnitedHealthcare Global, located in Houston, Texas, provides a number of Travel Security services, including traveler tracking, emergency response, secure transportation, and intelligence assessments, and monitoring to some of the world's top companies and institutions.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Produce intelligence reports and other related products. Products include, but are not limited to, online global databases, customized trip security reports, worldwide incident monitoring reports, special reports, daily security event summaries and more;
  • Provide consistent and constant monitoring of world news and events and assure proper protocols are followed;
  • Engage in special projects as required;
  • Promote a customer-oriented business work ethic;
  • Position provides primary support for the Intelligence division and company overall during the night time, weekend and holiday hours. Specific shift hours vary;
  • Occasional travel (domestic / international) may be required but is uncommon.
Core Competencies:
  • Excellent research and analytical skills;
  • Excellent writing skills appropriate for this position and for a business environment. The ability to construct written arguments and present analysis and conclusions within the business parameters is paramount;
  • Must be able to meet verbal consulting needs and give presentations on their area of expertise;
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently under fluid and sometimes stressful situations is essential;
  • Must articulate well with excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision making and communication skills (verbal and written).

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word (creating documents)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (Building spreadsheets, accessing documents,  knowing where and how to find information)
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook (send and receive email and replying to emails)
  • Exceptional Writing skills for a business environment (Writing test will be administered following phone call with the hiring manager)
  • Strong knowledge of current, International affairs at a global or regional level.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a defined focus on International Affairs, Security/ Intelligence Issues, or other related field.
  • Foreign Language skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint (Creating slideshows)

  • Must be articulate with excellent Interpersonal, Problem Solving, Decision Making and Communication skills (verbal and written).
