Aerotek, Inc. is searching for a high level CNC programmer for a direct-hire opportunity for an orthpedic company here in Portland, OR. All intersted candidates are encouraged to apply and all qualified candidates will be contacted with further information.
CNC programming duties include:
-Using Mastercam software in 3,4,and 5-axis
-Be able to operate CNC equipment and maintain, create, change, and update CNC programs for all CNC machining equipment, using CAD & CNC programming software, to facilitate the machining of orthopedic implants, fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids
-Programming a variety of jobs and at times operating conventional, special-purpose and computerized numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metallic parts.
-Creating, modifying and maintaining CNC Programs, fixturing and tooling to support medical implant manufacturing.
-Work closely with quality department to address inspection questions related to machining.
-Providing input into lean initiatives to reduce cost of manufacturing.
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
-Ability to perform programming of CNC mills using Mastercam software and lathes; Strong Analytical and problem solving skill; Ability to use MasterCam X7, Haas GL software; Fanuc control CNC equipment Strong knowledge of GD&T; trigonometry/geometry, speeds and feeds, cutter clearances and offsets; Good oral and written communication skills; CoCr Alloy experience preferred; SolidWorks, Unigraphics experience preferred.
