Aerotek is currently hiring a Mechanical Engineer for an immediate need for one of our clients in the Denver area. Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineers that can apply industry standard design, analysis, manufacturing and test processes in support of our aircraft design and modification programs.
For this position, our client is interested in candidates with technical experience in the areas of primary and secondary structure, landing gear systems, hydraulic systems, thermal and environmental control systems, fuel systems, flight controls. As a Mechanical Engineer, the candidate must be able to provide technical supervision as an experienced engineer to other mechanical engineers as well as interact with other senior engineers in other disciplines to develop design solutions that support the best systems level solution to program requirements.

Responsibilities:
-Understand, plan, and execute technical activities in accordance with policies, procedures, and work instructions and specific Customer requirements
-Generate, read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and schematics
-Originate specifications, control documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of design and development activities
-Work with other Engineers to implement operating procedures, resolve system issues and provide technical information
-Prepare material for, and conduct, periodic design reviews
-Ensure conformance of products with engineering design and performance specifications
-Execute engineering design and development activities consistent with Customer quality, cost, and schedule requirements
-Conduct research, test and analyze the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems
-Estimate costs and submit bids for Engineering
-Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of aviation experience
-Experience with aircraft certification (14CFR Part 25 or EASA Part 25 preferred)
-Skilled in 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and technical drawing creation (Catia V5 experience a plus)
-Ability to work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams
-Ability to travel is required
