Our Pastry and Candy Team Leader manages the entire Pastry and Candy Team and keeps it running like a well-oiled machine. You'll be the one who Team Members and guests look to for guidance to design the best birthday cake and suggest the goodies to make their sweet tooth smile!

  • Maintain safety as the top priority in all aspects of our work, for our Team Members, guests, and products.
  • Enable unparalleled guest service by leading the Pastry and Candy team by example, constantly striving to delight and surprise our guests, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Cultivate a foodie culture by sharing excitement and passion for food with Team Members and guests.
  • Inspire the Pastry and Candy team and our guests with a passion for food and a willingness to go the Extra Mile to provide the best product.
  • Proactively track inventory, document data, analyze weekly reports, and order supplies to ensure that we exceed our guests' needs and maximize store profit.
  • Amaze our guests by surpassing sanitation and safety standards for our pastries, confections, cases, and supplies.
  • Set and reach aggressive sales and profit goals while also managing shrink and taking action to improve the department P&L.
  • Oversee Pastry and Candy leads, encouraging collaboration and support to make the whole department give its best.
  • Ensure that training for your team is optimizing each Team Member's skills and strengths, constantly evaluating and improving to reduce turnover, improve efficiency, and control costs.
  • Establish an ongoing communication plan with the Pastry and Candy team, ensuring that all Team Members are informed and prepared to put their best food forward!
  • Implement merchandising plans to grow the business, and know that collaboration across all levels of the company and store will make your ideas come to life.
  • Collaborate with other Leaders to develop and promote a cohesive marketing plan for the store.
  • Analyze Guest and Team Member Point of View surveys, with an eye for constantly improving service and scores.
  • Provide motivational leadership to an amazing team, focusing on respect, setting an exemplary example, and remembering that food is FUN! Recognition, team development and continuously raising the bar should be second nature in this role.
  • Identify strengths and opportunities on the Pastry and Candy team and think strategically when making moves and scheduling. Remember, leaders develop future leaders and we're counting on you to identify Team Members who are poised to rise through the ranks. Our people are our best asset!
