Recruiting Strategist Chicago
Description

The primary objectives of the People Support Team are: (1) to create and deliver programs and processes that will help attract, develop, reward, and retain top performers at all levels of the organization, (2) support restaurant crew, managers, and operations staff so they can focus on running great restaurants; and (3) bring Chipotle’s People Culture to life through innovation and creativity.


The Recruiting Strategist supports field leaderships in developing sustainable recruitment strategies that will empower our field leaders, managers and crew members to identify, hire, and retain future top performers. He/she staffs New Restaurant Openings, diagnoses and supports restaurants struggling with staffing needs, and trains and develops field leaders in executing sustainable recruitment and hiring best practices.


Responsibilities

In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


New Restaurant Openings (NROs)

•Partnering with field leadership and support teams to implement recruitment activities to ensure NRO staffing levels are reached prior to Orientation

•Posting all job openings for crew/management positions

•Ensuring NRO managers are trained and validated in interviewing and hiring best practices to attract potential top performers with the 13 characteristics.

• Validating Taleo proficiency and interviewing/hiring competencies with GM/Apprentice/Service Managers (SMs)

•Communicating with NRO Managers 30 days from opening and providing post-opening staffing report

•Verifying with GM/NRO manager that NRO credentialing has been completed


Staffing Needs

•Forecasting hiring needs with field leaders based upon sales planning/staffing reports/patch diagnosis

•Partnering with field leaders in reviewing and preparing recruitment plans for critically staffed restaurants.

•Coaching field leaders on types of communication delivered from the field leaders to managers on all aspects of recruitment.

•Validating Taleo training/management proficiencies for all field leaders to train their managers.

•Participating in recruitment “rides” and selected Diagnosis Plan Tool meetings with field leaders to validate recruiting skills and sustainability within their market.

Recruiting Events

•Developing, coordinating, and attending local/regional job fairs

•Managing and monitoring on-line postings

•Posting new requisitions for restaurant/field positions

•Conducting recruitment/Chipotle presentations within the community

•Identifying and forging new relationships with potential hiring partners


Taleo

•Posting and managing Taleo requisitions

•Providing monthly analysis and reports to Field Leadership on restaurant staffing levels.

Training

•Providing training on all aspects of recruitment best practices (e.g., Taleo, screening, interviewing, application review, grassroots, etc.)

•Participating in Field Leadership Meetings such as market, patch, and PDP Meetings; ICF, Rookie, Restaurateur/R+ classes; SM Workshops; Document Training; All manager meetings; and kick-off meetings

•Training and developing new or less experienced Field Recruiters

The ideal candidate will:

•Have clear written and verbal communication, and organization skills

•Be comfortable presenting to large groups, as well as interacting with senior levels of leadership

•Have the ability to develop strong credibility throughout operations

•Be self-driven, proactive, and persistent

•Have a B.A./B.S in a related field, with one (1) to three (3) years related experience; or an equivalent in education and experience

•Be knowledgeable of and have the ability to use a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite

•Have a proven track record of identifying talent, ensuring high standards, and removing obstacles

•Have the ability to travel frequently
