POSITION SUMMARY

Top leadership position in assigned geographic area providing strategic direction and leadership to sales staff to achieve new sales goals for assigned business or customer segments, products and services in support of profitable growth.

Fundamental Components:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and execute collaboration agreements with providers that produce significant market and revenue growth for Aetna, it subsidiaries and the provider partners(s).

- Sell health benefits solutions, Health IT, Care management, Health Plan Services (TPA) and consulting services to providers.

- Manage overall provider relationship and end-to-end sales and contracting process.

- Serve as the tip of the spear coordinating across Aetna, including markets, business segments, subsidiaries and consulting partners.

- Implement the strategies and business plans necessary to attain the net sales growth objectives.

- Mentor Sales Associates in their sales activities in the region.

- Successful overall management of a multiple provider relationship.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Current/previous experience within hospital, integrated delivery system, large IPA, is desired.

- Previous experience managing a P & L preferred.

- Experience in VP Sales role within in healthcare with a focus on Health IT is desired.

- Superior ability to present to, engage and consultatively sell to C-Suite customers.

- Track record of closing large solutions

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
