Duties
- Personal care services like bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Assistance with ambulation and safe transfers
- Companionship through engaging conversations and activities
- Light housekeeping services like laundry, vacuuming, and dusting
- Meal preparation and clean up
- Medication reminders
- Errands and incidental transportation for things like doctors appointments and grocery shopping
- Safety and peace of mind to the client and their family
Requirements
- Previous experience is not necessary, but preferred. We will provide a comprehensive paid orientation on general CAREGiving skills, Personal Care and Alzheimer's care.
- At least 18 years of age with a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- Possession of a valid PA driver's license and automobile insurance
- Access to reliable transportation to and from shifts within 15 miles or 30 minutes of your home
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to submit to a thorough criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
- Ability to treat and to care for seniors with dignity and respect
