Primary Responsibilities:

• The management of the operations and service staff for UHC Small Business, responsible for broker satisfaction


• Manage and monitor client assignments and broker alignment


• Training and coaching of operations and service staff, new hire and ongoing


• Recruit, hire and monitor operations and service staff


• Staff development and management


• Set operations and service staff strategy to achieve goals, manage national and local initiatives and serve as the liaison for staff and internal functional areas to improve efficiencies and remove barriers


• Direct and manage service plans


• Build and maintain key client and producer relationships


• Develop and maintain key internal relationships


• Present a positive image of UnitedHealth Group to the marketplace


• Detailed understanding of all UHC products, services and solutions across all health plan sites


• Working knowledge of product lines


• Ability to identify and communicate the need for improvements in UHC products and services


• Understands and can communicate goals, operating principles, strategies and competitive position of UHC
  
  

Qualifications:

• Sales or service experience with a full range of products (POS, HMO, indemnity)


• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook


• Bachelor's degree


• 5+ years previous management experience in sales support/account operations strongly preferred.


• Knowledge of Small Business insurance markets/products preferred.
