About this job
Manufacturing accounting for five production lines that includes the following:
Complete the period end/weekly SAP closing process including reconciling production, identifying ingredient and package material variances, process various journals, and sending all the period standard and actual information to corporate every four weeks/close cycle
Support the ingredient and package material cycle counting process and identify and provide explanations for all material variances
Set up product cost standards for budgeting purposes and provide analysis on year-on-year changes
Maintain bills of materials for the plant including both operational and standard product structures
Support accounts payable Purchase-to-Pay process for indirect materials by working with vendors/plant personnel to ensure timely payment in accordance with PepsiCo Policy through SAP
Pallet / Top Frame return to vendor and period reconciliation
Complete various standard vs. actual analysis as needed
Perform Sarbanes Oxley audit tests and self-assessments (inventory control, purchasing, MRP, product structures, etc.)
Support the regional PMA /Fixed Assets through settlement of projects, depreciation forecasts for PBU/AOP, and process work-flows through SAP
Qualifications:
Requires a BS/BA in Accounting/Finance
2+ years experience in G/L, cost accounting, and/or auditing preferred
Strong computer skills - proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
Be able to prioritize, execute, and demonstrate strong verbal / written communication skills and a strong team player
