Family Resource Specialist:
 
Home Instead Senior Care—founded in 1998—provides companionship and non-medical services (meal preparation, laundry/light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, personal hygiene assistance) to seniors in their homes.  Our employees provide short-term or long-term assistance to seniors living in Montgomery County, Maryland and Northwest Washington for as little as 8 hours a week, up to 24/7 365 days a year.  HomeInstead.com/197

Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, Silver Spring office location
 
The primary responsibility of the Family Resource Specialist is to be the initial point of contact when adult children call Home Instead Senior Care inquiring about services for their parent.  The Family Resource Specialist educates callers about our services and how we can best help their parent’s specific situation.  Ultimately, the goal of the Family Resource Specialist is to schedule a one-on-one visit with the caller, their parent(s), and Home Instead’s Client Care Specialist in the client’s home so that we may do a thorough intake process and begin providing services to the client on an ongoing basis.
 
Additional responsibilities:
 
• Create and implement new ideas to expand our online presence
• Create and/or update materials, including office documents, presentations, flyers, etc.
• Design promotional products (e.g., pens, nail files, displays) and work with vendors
• Update company website, Facebook, and Employee Intranet
• Send mass emails to field employees and office staff
• Photograph office events, trainings, and staff portraits
 
Qualifications:
 
• College degree preferred
• Background in aging and/or health care preferred
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills
• Strong administration and organizational skills
• Strong proven customer service skills
• Computer literate; proficiency with Microsoft and Excel
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Mac
• Be able to speak and hear English clearly
