Controls/Building Automations Technician - Full-time / Part-time

MUST HAVES: 1. troubleshooting of controls and automation equipment (not PLCs used for machinery) 2. Building controls/building management services experience (BMS OR BAS). 3. HVAC knowledge and experience

This role ensures that within a organizational department, it has the correct level of Technical Service experience to ensure all customers are supported.
This role will supervise other sub - roles where necessary to give advise and support of a Technical nature when required.

This role will report to the Services Manager of the organizational department and advise on any Technical Service or Support Matter.

This position is responsible for performing checkout/commissioning and troubleshooting of hardware, electrical and HVAC systems. Performs scope-of-work issues to insure the end-user has a workable and accessible solution.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must

Perform commissioning of control systems to ensure proper operation

Repair and reconfigure control system equipment

Diagnose communication problems and install control devices and other components

Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues

Troubleshoot and verify correct operation of equipment, field devices, wire and conduit

Install, replace and re-commission devices, equipment and software

Provides emergency and warranty service as required (on-call).

Track costs associated with startup and commissioning to complete the assigned project on time and within budget
