Job Description
American Girl, located at the Natick Mall, is looking for dynamic individuals who have the interpersonal skills to deliver friendly and informative service as Doll Hair Stylists in our signature Doll Hair Salon.
Responsibilities:
* Meets customers within 30 seconds of them approaching the Doll Hair Salon using professional communication skills that create a positive, friendly rapport.
* Assess and meet customer merchandise and service needs, including special requests and resolving customer problems.
* Styles doll hair according to company standards and demonstrates proper hair care techniques.
* Conducts inventory of salon supplies and stocks salon area for ease of work.
* Ability to up sell Pampering Plus and AG Ear Piercing to every customer that checks in, both at the point of sign in or while styling the doll’s hair. Takes initiative in sharing product knowledge with customers and co-workers.
* Actively participates in Doll Hair Salon events including Doll Hair Salon Spectaculars, hair demos, and Private Birthday parties.
* Have the ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changes with the pace of the business and its needs.
* Actively support the mission of the company, which is “To Celebrate Girls”.
* Follows dress code presenting a professional appearance at all times.
Experience, Education & Skills
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 6 months to one year specialty retail and/or customer service experience.
* Ability to style hair and care for doll.
* Good verbal and communications skills required. Must enjoy public speaking.
* Have experience working with children to provide a warm, engaging, and MAGICAL visit for our customers.
* Possess the ability to work with a broad & diverse work force and customer base with a strong affinity toward service & teamwork.
* Successful candidates will possess strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
