Description

Distribution Supervisor

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for supervising delivery drivers and the evaluation of distribution activities.

Position Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working on our 1st shift. Flexibility to work beyond the standard 40 hour work week as well as weekends is required based on business needs.

Position Compensation

This position is a salaried position based on experience and also has a potential bonus based on meeting various metrics set forth by branch leadership.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Supervise a team of delivery drivers.
  2. Responsible for the direction, coordination and evaluation of all distribution activities for assigned drivers/routes.
  3. Ensure accurate deliveries and excellent customer service.
  4. Supervise the planning and scheduling of company transport vehicles to maximize revenue producing opportunities ad minimize downtime and excessive overtime.
  5. Supervise driver performance and takes proper disciplinary steps as necessary.
  6. Monitor the team to ensure vehicles are well maintained and that related repairs and safety issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  7. Ensure that optimal inventory levels of full goods are maintained in order to fulfill daily sales needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 1 year of management/supervisory experience
  • 3 years of delivery/distribution experience
  • Valid CDL A and driver’s license
