We have a opening for a Patient Attendant at U-M Hospital.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Patient attendants perform a variety of patient care duties including, but not limited to: * Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADL). * Assisting patients with feeding. * Assisting patients with ambulatory care. * Assisting patients to-and-from bed and to-and-from the restroom. * Assisting patients with simple bathing. * Providing companionship such as reading to and talking with patients. * Assisting hospital staff as needed. Preferred qualifications: * Ability to provide safe and compassionate care to patients. * Ability to use and display good professional judgment. * Open availability to work a non-traditional schedule including all shifts, days, weekends, and holidays. * Desire to begin/continue a career in health care. * Experience or education in the health care field or experience providing patient care a plus! * Certification as a CNA, CENA, or Home Health Aide a plus!
