About this job

* Provides outstanding customer service skills at all times

* Performs timely patient transport based on staff request

* Responsible for transporting patient in a safe environment utilizing appropriate transport equipment such as IV pumps/poles and oxygen tank if required

* Practices infection control procedures at all times

* Monitors and reports changes in patient condition to appropriate healthcare providers

* Basic understanding of imaging procedures to perform job functions such as transporting patients to different imaging modalities

* Basic knowledge of computers and PACS system equipment and related software. Initiates printing CD's or films as requested by patient or physician offices

* Obtains and documents accurate patient information on forms; provides patient privacy at all times

* Abides by Regulatory requirements, National Safety Goals, Scope of Practice and Code of Conduct

* Performs Performance Improvement (QA) for the department as requested

* Demonstrates ethical and professional conduct (attitude and behavior).

* Unit Clerk transporter contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality of continuity of patient care and safety

* Consistently perform radiation safety measures

* Assist in mentoring new team members or students

* Performs other related duties as required

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Licensure/Certifications: Not required

Experience: A minimum of one year in a healthcare setting experience
