The Senior Store Planner is primarily responsible for serving as an analytical expert for optimizing selling department space allocations as well as providing input for building design criteria that efficiently supports merchandising and store operation requirements.

The Senior Store Planner will also have primary responsibility with the management and operation of space optimization tools and providing input and output data so intelligent selling department space allocation decisions can be made for major resets and new store projects.

To accomplish this, the Senior Store Planner must have proficient knowledge of fixture, merchandise, and store operation space requirements.

The Senior Store Planner will collaborate directly with Merchandising, Store Operations, Engineering, Visual Space Planning, and Customer Experience Design Team in order to create space allocations that create positive business impacts.

Essential Responsibilities:

Space Planning

* Produces reporting of sales floor performance to space and provides recommendations for optimal space allocations by selling department.

* Develops unbiased store designs based on space allocation criteria and design intent.

* Assists with presentations, as needed, for all levels of corporate management.

* Schedules and leads space analysis discussion with CXD cross-functional team, advising them on appropriate avenues of space allocation decisions.

* Applies approved scope of work to major reset projects, roll back model plans, and new store projects.

* Creates store specific and model layouts to support reset projects and major corporate initiatives.

* Develops core layouts (models) when scope of work applies to many stores.

* Creates complete and well thought out handoff packages for the production team to effectively execute versions of core layouts.

* Works cross-functionally with Engineering to design buildings that provide efficient space for store operations and merchandising requirements.

* Documents macro space standards as it relates to drawing functionality, format, maintenance, and output.

Data Gathering and Analysis

* Interprets all output data which takes into consideration in-stock sales, special order sales, market research, and customer analytics.

* Calculates and validates space allocation recommendations based on various scopes of work.

* Performs space analysis of current state and measures the growth potential if space allocations are revised.

* Generates a cost to benefit analysis to determine if the return on investment meets company threshold.

* Analyzes post-reset data and validate if the project achieved set expectations.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Architecture, Interior Design, Retail Management, or related field

* 2+ years of store planning experience

* 2+ years of experience in drafting or retail

* 1+ year of experience using AutoCAD or industry-related Floor Planning/Macro Space software to generate facility fixture and merchandise plans
