Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager for a prestigious corporate account Unilever Headquarters located in
Englewood Cliffs, NJ . This unit is part of a larger Global Facilities Contract. Responsibilities will include: oversight of the daily food contract operations, hands on food production, training, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality of service, direct interaction with customers, strategic planning for process improvement, cost control, Food and Safety compliance management, cash handling, assisting other areas of food operations as assigned and direct supervision of 12 union and non union hourly associates.
The successful candidate will possess at least 2 years food management experience, a strong working knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines as well as excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills. Prior food management experience with extensive catering background would be a plus for this role.
Position Summary
Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
