The purpose of this position is to be responsible for designing and creating innovative, commercially viable products that deliver value and style for the Levi's Women's Woven Tops, Dresses, Outerwear as well as sustain the development, evolution and communication of Levi's look that supports and deepens the brand value and identity.
  • Develop seasonal design platforms and concepts
  • Identify consumer relevant product opportunities through market research
  • Create fit, fabric, finish, sundries and trim developments
  • Design product to achieve or exceed targets for the seasonal calendar, assortment plan and source location requirements
  • Sustain effective partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals
  • Execute direction given by senior designers and directors as part of the global guideline
  • May coach lower level designers


Basic Qualifications
  • College Degree in Design (5+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree)
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a designer, responsible and accountable for all facets of design and development
  • Must be able to lift 15lbs (i.e. packages racks)


Additional Qualifications
  • Tops denim finish experience a huge plus.
  • PC/MAC fluency with design related programs
  • Demonstrated success in creating commercially viable and profitable product designs
  • Strong working knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, textiles, finishing techniques and processes
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team oriented individual with the ability to work with diverse partners in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
