Inpatient Unit Clerk (Part-time)

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Inpatient Unit Clerk (Part-time).

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

We have opportunities available as inpatient unit clerks for a local hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. These are part-time, temp-to-hire positions paying $10.00 per hour. Interested candidates must have six (6) months of recent customer service experience, be highly reliable, and have open availability to work multiple shifts, including holidays and weekends. Inpatient unit clerks perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to: * Providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff. * Answering multiple phone lines. * Ordering medical supplies, equipment, and services through appropriate mechanisms. * Facilitating communication between physicians, nursing staff, and care management teams regarding orders and status updates. * Arranging patient admissions, transfers, and discharges on inpatient units. Preferred qualifications: * Demonstrated customer service experience. * Open availability on ALL days of the week, on day shift and at least one (1) additional shift (evening/midnight - preference given to candidates who are open to all three shifts). * Ability to work part-time for long-term/temp-to-hire. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking. * Desire to begin/continue a career in health care.
