Direct Hire Opportunity:
Looking for Sr. Software developer with C#, ASP.Net, VB.Net, SQL Backend experience to work on custom applications that interface with a Warehouse management system. Prior experience with ERP (SAP) systems, and reporting systems (BOBJ/SSRS) is desired, but not required.


Description

The Senior Applications Developers role is to design, execute, assess, and troubleshoot complex software programs and applications. This includes documenting software specifications, as well as configuring, coding, developing, and testing software throughout the project life cycle. The Sr. Applications Developer will also manage system startups in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide support to other departments where required.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning
Collaborate with analysts and designers in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications. When required, perform the role of analyst and/or designer in addition to developer.
Oversee the quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution.
Develop an awareness of programming and design alternatives.
Take an active role in cross-departmental projects when needed.

Technology Acquisition & Deployment
Interact regularly with managers, clients, vendors, and agencies to field queries and questions.

Operational Management
Research, document, and implement program requirements and specifications.
Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices.
Gather statistics and prepare and write reports on the status of the programming process for discussion with management and/or team members.
Knowledge & Experience (Preferred)
RedPrairie / JDA warehouse management experience is nice to have
Good understanding of SQL
Hands-on software troubleshooting experience
