POSITION PURPOSE - DC Staffing Specialist is responsible for executing talent acquisition strategies within their specified DC. The Staffing Specialist will serve as conduit in the local community to support relationships and talent pipeline efforts to ensure appropriate candidate flow and pipeline. The DC Staffing Specialist will maintain strong relationships with RSC and Talent Acquisition Managers; and selected 3PL and contingent companies. DC Staffing Specialist will plan and execute Talent Acquisition and retention initiatives leveraging all resources, ensuring an efficient and effective process while providing a positive candidate experience.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - 70% SOURCE/BUILD RELATIONSHIPS: - Aggressively maintains, qualifies and builds partnerships internally and with colleges, community organizations, trade schools, military/veteran groups, THD hiring partners, supply chain organizations and peer companies to build a talented, diverse talent pipeline. - Understands DC wide and specific functional hiring needs and partners with RSC and Talent Acquisition managers. - Maintain in-depth knowledge of the local employment market. Updates MIT monthly. - Partner with DC leaders to develop internal talent pipeline for Supervisor positions. - Partners with job placement facilities and contingent companies. - Develop and propose annual, quarterly and spring hiring planning in close partnership with HRM, PPM, GM, RSC, TA and other leaders. - Partner with team weekly to update, adjust and report as needed. - Develop meeting cadence with RSC and TA and DC. 20% SELECTION: - Schedules and executes events to generate qualified applicants. - Drive and achieve stated candidate flow/ talent acquisition metrics - Partners closely with RSC and TA regarding hiring needs, applicant flow/health of qualified pools, interview logistics and events. - Partner with TM to train leaders effectively using SIG and other TM tools. - Ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance applicable laws and THD policies. 10% ONBOARDING: - Process new hire paperwork. - Coordinate orientation.

NATURE AND SCOPE - Position reports to DC HR Manager No direct reportsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 03

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
