About this job

Apply various plating or other treatment to product in a manner, which produces a cost effective, quality product, safely and on time.  Participate in team operations within corporate policy guidelines. 

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

High School degree or equivalent preferred. 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Prior plating experience preferred 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (if applicable)

  • Primary responsibility is to load and operate barrels of either plating line (soap, zinc, phosphate, CM, etc.) by moving product to correct tank at the correct time. 
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  •  Communicate within the plating team to provide needed information for the plating operation.
  •  Perform assigned or required tasks to assure product is correct and on time within the confines of team output.
  •  Assist teammates to complete tasks in a timely manner. 
  • Document and maintain required product information. 
  • Aid the teams’ efforts to continually improve efficiencies and reduce costs. 
  • Capable of completing assembly specific skills within acceptable time limits when given proper training. 
  • Participate in team operations as requested. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR KNOWLEDGE UPON QUALIFICATION IN POSTION:

  • Specific plating skills; including, but not limited to following work instructions to plate product to coating specifications,
  • Understanding Material Safety Data Sheets and monitoring operations as required.

  • Measurement tools
  • Computer skills
  • Assembly specific skills qualification check sheets
  • Able to follow directions 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Repetitive hand/arm movement

  • Bending/stooping
  • Lifting up to 35lbs
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Limited sitting
  • Heat controlled environment/not air conditioned
  • Color perception and vision requirements
