As a Director Operational Readiness, Clinical Transformation you will serve as the subject matter expert in program and project management, leading operational team's end to end readiness for the new Patient Centered Care Model program, a key enterprise Blue Chip initiative which will help transform the future of healthcare. You will lead a cross-functional team to define current and future status business processes and process needs, data and reporting needs, integration points (inputs and outputs), identify staffing implications, define business performance goals, measure results and lead others on the program team to make meaningful process improvements.

Desired characteristics include attention to detail, strong problem solving skills and ability to assess and develop action plans for non-standard issues and requests.  You will be responsible to manage and develop a team of business program leaders and analysts, establish and direct work activities and priorities, and institutionalize strong and effective business process improvements as we move from current state processes and systems onto the future state process and systems supporting our clinical agendas.



Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage lead and develop staff of business and process analysts – focus on and materially improves the level of engagement of our business analysis workforce

  • Create and manage project plan and inventory of operational processes that need analysis and documentation on current and future state process flows, gaps and new system requirements

  • Manage end to end efforts across the various operational teams to define future state operational improvements and requirements that support the same goal of quality improvement cycles on the patient's health, and care that is integrated and coordinated

  • Conduct primary research via user interviews, focus groups and contextual analysis to generate actionable insights for user experience designs (internal and external users)

  • Effectively represent the voice of the user to influence and improve design decisions

  • Support documentation of system requirement enhancements needed to support the new processes and integrations, share these requirements with the systems development teams, and present design solution options back to the operational team for decisions

  • Develop both interim/tactical solutions and long term strategic solutions and determine proper staging within program roadmaps

  • Identify migration needs from current statue to tactical and/or future end state processes and tools

  • Develop presentations around insights (new process outlines, role changes, staff changes, security requirements, budget changes, etc.)  and prepare for governance and legal reviews

  • Support the training team on creating SOP, job aids, communications, bulletins, etc.

  • Makes presentations to management and governance counsels on project updates, project cycle, and expected results

  • Exhibit effective, adaptive leadership style that promotes innovation and establishes work priorities for the Program team

  • Consistently demonstrate ability to act and react swiftly to continuous challenges and changes

  • Prepare and communicate Program level status reporting to key constituents, stakeholders, governance counsels and executive team

  • Develop innovative and strategic approaches to solve business problems

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years operational support, analysis and process improvement for business operational organization

  • 3+ years of experience in project management or direct staff management

  • 3+ years operational business process improvement, root-cause analysis, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes

  • 3+ years healthcare / clinical experience

  • Ability to align technical discipline into project management / program

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including Executive level presentations skills

  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships

  • Strong ability to navigate matrixed and complex environments

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint required (Visio preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field required OR HS Diploma/GED plus 5+ years equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Black Belt, Green Belt, Six Sigma or other related certification (acquired or in process)

  • PMP Certification or Human Centered  Design experience

  • Business requirements analysis and options analysis experience

  • Knowledge of ACOs and population health management methods

  • Knowledge of Patients Plan of Care and Assessments

  • Knowledge of STARS/HEDIS Quality Care Gaps

  • Preferred ability to work in one of the following locations (in order of preference): Minnetonka, MN or Phoenix, AZ.
