3M is seeking a Membrane Setup operator for the 3M purification located in Meriden, CT. Ready to be part of what's next?
This position will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
- Operate membrane cartridge and equipment to tape, pleat, trim, cut, seal membrane media, sub assemble, cap, final assemble, testing, drying and packaging of cartridges
- Laminate plastic to edge of membrane rolls. Operate pleating machine by trimming and sealing pleated membrane
- Assemble cartridges (modules and cap)
- Air/water test cartridges
- Dry and clean cartridges
- Package, label, keep records/location of batches produced
- Observe all company and OSHA safety rules and practices
- Will assist other department members (in any classification) as needed to insure safety and maximize output
- Assist in the training of other employees as necessary
- Performs various production operations including the operating of multiple machines where it can be done safely and fills in on positions throughout manufacturing operations as required
- Access of information via computer is required
- Knowledge of or ability to learn to read blueprints
- Performs any other duties as assigned by supervision
This position will require:
- Weekend work
- Working a 2nd or 3rd shift depending on shift availability
This position may require:
- Working overtime
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience with webdrive equipment
- Experience operating a powered fork truck
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience working with chemicals
- Trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work with calipers, indicators, precision measurement tooling
