RN Clinical Educator

In collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, clinical department directors, quality/risk management staff, the RN Nurse Educator plans, implements and evaluates clinical staff development programs, including core regulatory education, certification programs, initial orientation, skill training of new nurses, competency education and continuous skills development, and professional practice development. Coordinates nurse mentor and preceptor programs.

BSN required; MS/MSN preferred.

Idaho RN License required.

Requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of adult education theory and practice preferred.

Research skills and abilities preferred to identify and facilitate sharing of best practices. Initiative, c reativity and flexibility are essential skills for program development and employee education. Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and good facilitation, coaching, teaching skills.

Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience required in a hospital or academic setting.

Strong knowledge and experience in multiple hospital nursing departments preferred. Knowledge and experience providing clinical education and curriculum development preferred.
