Responsibilities:

The Bridgestone Leadership Development Internship Program provides you exposure to our core business unit, Retail Operations. Our ten week internship is paid ($15 per hour) and will begin in June of 2015. You will receive hands on experience with operations management, marketing, financial analysis, product knowledge, leadership development and our overall business strategy.

Bridgestone's internship program consists of a combination of group training and individual development.

The first week will begin with our intern orientation in Chicago, IL. You will spend orientation with the entire internship class, as we believe this encourages collaboration and team building. We pay for your flight and other travel expenses to Chicago, and of course for your classroom time while you're there. Last year we flew 225 interns to Chicago, IL.

We fly our interns home at the end of the first week and during weeks 2 - 10, and your experience will continue at one of our 2,200 Firestone or Tires Plus retail locations located throughout the the United States. We identify our top training managers each year and pair interns together with one of these leaders during weeks 2-10 of the internship. Interns can tell us where they would like to live during the summer, and because we have such a large footprint of stores nationwide, we can almost always locate a top training store nearby. During the internship you will have the opportunity to lead one of the most important projects of the summer: Your store's Grass Roots Sales Event.

Your hands on training, leadership, sales experience, and exposure to customer analytics, will enable you to thoroughly prepare for and execute your final grassroots project.

Upon completion of the internship, top intern participants will be presented with full-time offers for theBridgestone Leadership Development Program (BLDP) and will be invited to our corporate office in Nashville, Tennessee, to meet our executive team and to learn more about our innovative and dynamic culture.

Those who accept an offer to join the Bridgestone Leadership Program will have a full-time job lined upon graduation.

Since our stores are open evenings and weekends, your daily schedule may vary but you will work no more than a total of 40 hours each week.

Qualifications:

Must be graduating between December 2015 and December 2016. Demonstrated success in retail sales management is a plus. Valid driver's license required.
