About this job

This role involves maintaining, driving variation out of, and improving reliability in manufacturing operations specifically related to the Processing of PET bottles, cans and BIB. Successful Process Improvement Engineers have strong mechanical and process skills and a good working knowledge of control, logic and operational principles.

Objective

The Process Improvement Engineer (PIE) is responsible for maintaining & improving manufacturing reliability, True Efficiency (TE), Running Efficiency (RE), production system capabilities, operational stability, and primary focus on Yield, Project Management and the Plants over-all sustainability agenda .

Assignment

The PIE works closely with Operations, Engineering & Maintenance to delivering improved results. The PIE delivers measurable improvements in People, Product, Process, Profit(Productivity) and Purpose by identifying, leading, and owning results for TE / RE, LSS, FI, EM, etc. improvement plans and projects.

Qualification:

College Degree Required in Engineering or Operations Management Preferred

Desired minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience in the design and installation of food packaging systems.

Desired IE experience or experience with simulation modeling, statistical analysis, or cost analysis.

High degree of commitment to the "team" approach to managing projects and/or solving manufacturing problems.

Exceptional "people skills", oral and written communication skills. Strong motivational skills.

Familiar with basics of finance, product cost accounting, statistical process control, and Total Quality.

Fundamental background with PLC's and process control.

Familiar with PC's, and with spreadsheet and word processing software.

Candidate must possess strong problem solving abilities.

A proficiency in Excel, general computer knowledge, and engineering economy concepts is necessary.
