Our partners include some of the biggest national and regional chains in retail including Walmart, Kmart, Rite Aid, Sports Authority, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Air Force Exchange, Academy, Shopko, Meijer, Rural King, Big 5, Sport Chalet, and Fred Meyer.

The Field Service Rep (FSR) position at Maurice Sporting Goods is a unique opportunity working in an exciting industry including fishing, hunting, camping and other outdoor recreation as well as sports licensing.  This opportunity will appeal to those with an entrepreneurial spirit who work well under minimal supervision.  The FSR is responsible for maximizing Point of Sale (POS) category performance through in-store merchandising activities within an assigned geographic territory.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain merchandising standards and inventory, including flexing products, displaying merchandise properly, planogram integrity and processing restocks and reorders as necessary.
  • Gather and move materials, supplies and fixtures for the assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with store personnel to achieve and maintain merchandising guidelines and build working relationships.
  • Complete web based reporting, surveys, recaps, timesheets and expense reports.
  • Make sales presentations using category/product knowledge, market analysis and selling tools provided.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision making skills.  Must be able to read and communicate effectively with others.
  • Must have computer access, including internet and the willingness to use a personal email address.
  • Must have a smartphone and be willing to add an application and use it to communicate field intelligence.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to complete procedures and responsibilities without direct supervision.
  • Physical abilities associated with setting stores, stocking shelves at various heights, frequent bending at the waist, reaching and/or squatting, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Prior merchandising/retail experience is beneficial, though not required.
  • Be able to present products and merchandising opportunities in an engaging and compelling way using fact based selling skills.

Compensation:
Fair compensation based on industry standards and experience.
