We are looking for Per Diem Mental Health Associates to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. In this role you will assume responsibility for maintaining unit and patient safety and security during off unit activities. You will be required to participate as an interdisciplinary treatment team member and assist patients in managing activities of daily living. The successful candidate will be a patient advocate and provide assistance/supervision of patients' activities of daily living by encouraging appropriate behavior intervenes and prevents out of control behavior on the unit. Assembles and escorts patients for their prompt arrival to meals, programs, court, clinics and other designated activities. You will meets with assigned patients daily, and implements Nursing Care Plan strategies by conducting therapeutic groups for our patients.

Some of the expectations of our Per Diem Mental Health Associates are that you work a minimum of four (4) shifts per six week schedule, two (2) of which are weekends. And you work a minimum of one (1) of the Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years) and one (1) Summer holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) as well as choosing one of our high demand days to work: Mother's Day, Easter and/or Super bowl Sunday

We provide flexible staffing that enables our MHA's to gain experience as well as a balanced work and home life as well as to have first choice at various openings throughout our facility.

B.A./B.S. in health related field with two years of psychiatric experience, preferably in an inpatient setting or four years of experience in a psychiatric setting with evidence of participation in continuing education related to mental health preferred. Psychiatric inpatient experience preferred. CPR and First Aid certification required.
