Position Summary

Manage retail go-to-market process -- strategy, planning, programming, execution, measurement -- for key account base, with primary focus on Strategic Account channel (Dicks Sporting Goods / Golf Galaxy, Golfsmith International, PGATSS, and Mass Channel (Walmart, Costco). Leverage best practices, insights & innovation to bring world-class retail programs to market. Scope of coverage includes TaylorMade and Adams brands -- Equipment, balls and accessories.

Programs include, but are not limited to, product launch activation (developing/deploying assets in-store/web/email/print/etc), training tools, store events such as demo/promotions/athlete appearances, retail footprints & shop-in-shops, account-specific co-op initiatives such as advertising/PR, sales contests and incentives, etc. Also includes marketing support for national programs in the MASS Channel.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

* Serve as primary marketing liaison between marketing and sales team/leadership and Strategic and Mass Channel for TaylorMade and Adams, facilitating annual & seasonal marketing planning processes, opportunity recognition, solution implementation, communication & problem solving as needed. Actively identify needs of sales team, customers and consumers, while managing and communication potential implications of decisions on each group.

* Manage the development of all account-specific communication materials and/or promotions through external & internal creative resources from briefing through to implementation, working with the cross-functional team day-to-day in the execution of plan components -- including Sales, Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Agency, Design, PR, Finance/Ops. Also measuring the effectiveness of all programs and co-op initiatives through sales analysis and consumer impact, upon completion.

* Manage and reconcile account/project budgets with sales, account and finance stakeholders. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues that impact critical path and market performance for account-specific marketing projects. Coordinate internal and account feedback and approvals for projects.

* Coordinate with Retail, Brand & Merchandising team members to collaborate on execution tasks and implement tools, programs, assets, etc. to maximize the business

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or related field preferred.

* 5-7 years of brand or retail marketing experience within a consumer goods company, or equivalent account mgmt or business dev experience at an advertising/marketing agency

* Experience managing account relationships, sales planning process, & co-op budgeting

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

* Broad understanding of brand management and how all facets of the marketing mix can influence consumer behavior, market performance, competitive dynamics, etc

* Ability to identify in-market opportunities, define success criteria, develop an execution plan, manage to completion, measure outcomes, apply learning/insights

* Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with highly developed attention to detail and follow-through

* Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks is required.

* Experience managing individuals and/or cross-functional teams is preferred.

* Passion for sports required, with passion/interest/knowledge for golf preferred

* Excellent computer skills (Excel, Power Point, Word)

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

* Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials

* Office environment

* Regular travel required (estimated 30%)

* Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
