POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for steward and cleaning operations, ensuring restaurants are supplied with clean dishes and silverware according to business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  2. Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of department.
  3. Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
  4. Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and up to Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
  5. Maintains open lines of communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
  6. Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned
  7. Perform work regularly and predictably.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of one-year progressive experience within the Stewards’ Department.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):

  • Must obtain and maintain a valid drivers and all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • All operations of the Stewards’ Department.

ABILITY TO:

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Deliver programs which create a service level of excellence for internal and external guests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Inspect and maintain all areas for which responsible.
  • Stock and retrieve supplies as needed.
