In-Home Educator Pre-K: June 16, 2015

An upbeat, positive and kind young family in San Mateo County is seeking the newest staff member for their private home in a new position created especially for you. The socially conscious and progressive family is looking for a pillar of support to join the team as an In-Home Educator. The young family is steady and reliable and does not believe in dramatics.
An efficient and organized professional working environment is maintained at all times. This forward thinking family requires the wonderful balance of education and loving care for their young children.

The person best suited for this position will be cheerful, outgoing, reliable, and consistent and will serve as the foundation and support for the family and the children. They must maintain a positive attitude at every juncture. The position must engage the children in new and dynamic learning opportunities, offering a versatile educational platform of daily activities. The children should be provided with a creative learning environment that educates them on problem solving, conflict resolution strategies and thinking outside of the box. The In-Home Educator will have the ability to design and implement an in-home, private learning center that could be transplanted to different locations. Inviting the children into new experiences with nature and its environment and working outdoors, will be vital to the children and this position. Activities in water sports, hiking, the arts, natural sciences, building and horseback riding, will be a common occurrence. The position requires an open and innovative way of thinking, to engage, nurture and support the children in new and exiting adventures. Children are happy, healthy and active with no disabilities.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Ability to support and engage children in confidence building activities and lessons
* Maintain a compassionate and supportive learning environment
* Provide engaging activities and an active learning environment for the children
* Provide transportation for the children as required
* Instruct children regarding proper grammar
* Instruct children regarding social courtesies, table manners, etc.
* Provide Employer with organized, weekly lessons for the children
* Assist children in schoolwork or projects
* Inspire children with arts and crafts
* Prepare children's snacks and meals as requested
* Educated children in proper nutrition and sanitization of eating surfaces
* Remain vigilant and diligent in the security, safety and well being of the children at all time
* Run errands for the children and household as needed
* Work with fellow employees as a great team

Position preferred qualifications include:
* Having extensive experience working with children
* Experience in creating activities and lesson plans
* Experience in working with groups of children
* Background in childhood education and development
* Higher Level of Education Degree preferred

Position Requirements:
* Maintain excellent driving record
* Pristine background with viable references
* Experience working with groups of children
* CPR and First Aid Certifications
* Excellent personal hygiene and health
* Ability to lift 40+ pounds
* Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (all expenses paid)

Compensation: High salary plus benefits package including health and retirement
