ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Major responsibilities consist of:

Pick up grounds and trash at buildings (walk all floors)
Remove all trash and belongings from vacant apartments (all floors)
Move furniture (up and down stairs)
Punch apartments (small maintenance tasks to get apartments ready for new tenants such as checking and changing light bulbs, globes, fixtures, ballasts, blinds, and air filters; light plumbing repair on sinks, toilets and bathtubs; tightening towel bars and toilet seats; installing shower rods; replacing drip pans and burners on range; caulking; etc.)
May powerwash buildings
Walking units (inspecting for damages and/or ensuring move in ready condition)
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-EDUCATION Minimum: Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
-EXPERIENCE Minimum: 2 years maintenance or general labor
Preferred: Prior Turn experience, grounds experience, maintenance experience and/or Student Housing experience helpful; Knowledge of basic plumbing repair, general maintenance, hand tools, and power tools strongly preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to maneuver equipment and appliances up stairwells
Ability to walk and to climb three (3) or more flights of stairs
Ability to move and inspect appliances, supplies, and tools
Ability to push, lift, pull and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to use hands and fingers
No computer work. Hand functions include writing; using different sized screwdrivers and pliers; using a hack saw; and using a cordless drill
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Ability to speak, see, and hear
Ability to reach with arms and hands
Ability to think, concentrate, and communicate
Ability to bend, stoop, and crawl

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to follow all safety rules
Ability to follow directions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be detail oriented
Basic verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Ability to measure using a ruler
Basic math skills preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT (List standard conditions and any applicable hazards.)
The work is performed indoors and outside. Hazards may include heights, chemical fumes from paint, cleaners etc., exposure to the heat or cold, moderate noise levels, dust, caulk, oils on hands, gasoline fumes, etc.

Salary: $13.50 /hour
