Accounts Payable Clerk - Full-time

Staffmark has partnered with Schwan Cosmetics and currently has an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.
Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and operations while adhering to all established policies and procedures.
 Perform all aspects of the accounts payable function by matching purchase orders to invoices and entering the invoices into the software according deadlines. Identify errors or discrepancies and resolve before processing.
 Enter new or update vendor names and data, send W-9 to vendor, enter ID# into system. Complete credit applications as requested by vendors in order to establish a credit limit.
 Prepare checks, including ACH transactions and web payments, and backup documentation. Reconcile accounts payable related accounts; and submit journal entry requests to the VP Finance for adjustment to the general ledger.
 Research and resolve any outstanding balances on accounts, including telephone, mail, or email
communications with vendors.
 Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications Education  High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate’s degree in office management, billing, accounting or related field preferred.  Must be able to speak, read/comprehend, and write in English. Experience  One to five years’ experience accounting, payroll, or related field required.  Advanced PC and keyboarding experience  Able to apply critical thinking skill with accuracy a strong attention to details.  Strong listening and collaboration skills with an ability to make decisions.
