As a Lead Online Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting web applications to support the dynamic growth of Home Depot ecommerce across various channels (web, mobile, tablet). This role requires deep technical knowledge, strategic planning and hands-on execution towards delivering high quality ecommerce applications.

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not
objectionable.
TRAVEL -
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

- You will serve as subject matter expert and be a key contributor to our rapidly growing ecommerce application portfolio.
- Partner with Product Management and User Experience stakeholders to elicit requirements and use cases for complex system enhancements.
- Work with architects and peer leads across the enterprise to drive out system design for high-complexity integrations.
- Lead small teams of engineers to
- Detail technical designs and specifications for multiple product features
- Develop, compile, debug, and unit test builds for delivery to QA
- Enforce design and coding standards through formal reviews
- Ensure web operations and non-functional system requirements are met prior to production deployment - Establish design and coding standards in partnership with architects and peers
- Enhance and support a metrics-driven approach to continuously improve code quality
- Mentor and train junior engineers on proper architecture and design of applications
- Lead triage and resolution for complex production issues as they arise
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -- 5-7 years work experience in data mining and statistical analysis
- Sematic Search experience preferred
- Previous work experience in designing algorithms for ecommerce applications
- Experience with large-scale data analysis and a demonstrated ability to identify key insights from data to solve business problems
- Computer Science and Math degree with solid research experience
- Ability to lead the team of senior engineers working in this space
