About this job
Local restaurant operator with multiple locations in Northern Nevada is looking for a repair technician. This is a full time position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of HVAC equipment, including ice machines, shake machines, freezers, walk-in refrigeration as well as portable units. Experience in kitchen equipment repairing toasters, microwaves, fryers, and all other related equipment a plus.
Candidates must have a universal E.P.A. card.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.
Communicate with others regarding repair and maintenance of equipment.
Ability to perform electrical work.
Document all activities and have good communication skills.
Understand the electrical & mechanical operation of equipment.
Know how to safely use shop, hand tools and various electrical equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel to restaurants in the Northern Nevada area required. After-hours emergency calls will involve work after-hours.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and the organization, Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, blue prints, schematic or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and understand verbal and written instructions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the following skills: electrical, plumbing, equipment repair, building and facilities maintenance. Knowledge of fast food equipment a plus. ADVANCED HVAC and ELECTRICAL SKILLS REQUIRED.
Benefits include paid vacations, Medical and Dental Insurance. We also provide overtime work. While we are flexible with the work schedule hours, we require an ability to respond to emergencies as needed on evenings and/or weekends.
