Production/Warehouse Workers

Our client, a Specialty Manufacturer in Westfield, needs great people to join their team making and assembling custom covers for swimming pools. Our associates will work in the warehouse/extrusion area. They will: Identify aluminum part numbers and extrusion shapes, and their locations With assistance, lift bundles of aluminum weighing approx. 80 pounds Measure material, parts, etc. Use simple math skills: division, multiplication, addition, subtraction, and fractions Operate a saw, either hands free type, pedal operated or lever type chop saw Cut pieces of aluminum per work orders w/ precision within a 1/16 inch tolerance Notate when order quantities are deviated Identify rejected material and report it Test and inspect finished products for quality and adherence to order specifications. Obtain the Department Team Leaders quality inspection and written approval. Pull and stage parts and instructions according to work order Pull card board packaging and plastic wrap, bubble wrap or brown paper as needed Package according to number required on work order Wrap cartons with binding for shipment Stage packed product in staging area Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow safety regulations. Other duties as requested, directed or assigned Ideal candidates will have: HS diploma or GED, w/ at least 1yr. manufacturing experience Prior employment longevity Great Attitude, Great Attendance Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, use fingers to handle of feel objects, tools or controls Ability to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch, sit or stand & move about the facility Ability to lift up to 30 pounds alone, 80 pounds w/ assistance Ability to read tape measure in 1/16 inch increments, read and convert fractions This is a contract assignment for the season which starts late February/March and continues through October. The salary $10.00 per hour, with the potential for overtime as the season progresses. This job is great for someone seeking seasonal work.
